Mid-Winter Break is Friday, February 23rd!

It's National School Resource Officer Day! We appreciate Officer Halley and all she does to help encourage, educate, and protect our Panthers!

Reminder that PSD students do not have school on Monday, February 12th due to scheduled Staff Professional Development.

It's World Read Aloud Day! Children who are read to at least three times a week by a family member are almost twice as likely to score in the top 25% in reading. Reading aloud also helps to improve language processing and vocabulary. For more stats on reading, visit https://literacyproj.org/2019/02/14/30-key-child-literacy-stats-parents-need-to-be-aware-of/

It's National School Counselor Week! Thank you to our amazing school counselors: Becky Edds and Beau Loncharte, PHS, Nick Stawowy, PMS, and Stephanie Hyer, North. The work you do with our Panthers makes PSD a better place!

February is Black History Month! This month we celebrate the contributions of African Americans to our nation in arts, sciences, business, and much more.
To learn more about the history of African American businesses, check out the Library of Congress's audio interviews on "The Green Book", a guide published from the late 1930s to the 1960s which listed businesses that welcomed African American customers. The interviews explore the histories of these establishments, how they stayed in business to today, and how they operate in their current communities.
