Summer School For Credit Recovery
This year's PHS summer school program will be a combination of in-person and virtual instruction for dates June 20 – August 18 (with July 4-7th off). The summer will be broken into three mini-trimesters, to accommodate students who need a full year of credit recovery. School runs from 8:00 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday - Thursday (no Fridays) with AM and PM sessions.
Registration for summer 2022 is currently open until May 13th. Click here to fill out the high school registration form.
We will have in-person instruction for Math and English courses and students can take other courses through the Edmentum/Plato credit recovery system online. Virtual classes can be completed both during in person summer school (in a computer lab with a teacher present) and/or from home. The calendar for summer school is as follows:
Summer School Dates: June 20 – August 18
(Off for week of July 4-7 for the July 4th holiday)
“Trimester 1” - June 20- July 13 (Week of July 4th off for holiday)
“Trimester 2” - July 14- August 2
“Trimester 3” - August 3- August 18

AM Session: 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM

***Based on your student's academic needs, they may need to attend summer school for only part of the summer, or the whole summer program. They may also need just an AM or PM session, or both. Our goal is to maximize the number of credits that students can retrieve during the summer. PHS staff will be in touch with parents to discuss your student's individual schedule.
Transportation for in-district students will be provided, as well as free breakfast and lunch for all participating students. If you would like your student to participate in summer school, please complete this form by Friday, May 13th. A schedule will then be created for your students based on the courses that they need to take, and that schedule will be communicated with students and parents.
Please contact your student's counselor if you have questions.
